Protocol

  • DN40 LM installed at buffer tank inlet
  • Very hard water (TH = 25 °f)
  • Sprinkling of several types of plants

Observation

  • Less limescale deposits on plants
  • Not a complete replacement for nitric acid: 1 month delay before limescale becomes critical
  • Additional observations: better rewetting of dry clods. Morphological differences (clump effect on certain varieties)

Conclusion

LM technology transforms limestone in the form of calcite into aragonite: it remains in solution in the water, crystallizes less on plant leaves and is easier to remove.
