Use of LM water to reduce limescale pressure on plant leaves, thus eliminating nitric acid.

HORTIVAL DIFFUSION
Beaufort en Anjou (49)
September 2022 → September 2024
Protocol
- DN40 LM installed at buffer tank inlet
- Very hard water (TH = 25 °f)
- Sprinkling of several types of plants
Observation
- Less limescale deposits on plants
- Not a complete replacement for nitric acid: 1 month delay before limescale becomes critical
- Additional observations: better rewetting of dry clods. Morphological differences (clump effect on certain varieties)
TEMOIN water spraying
LM water spray
Conclusion
LM technology transforms limestone in the form of calcite into aragonite: it remains in solution in the water, crystallizes less on plant leaves and is easier to remove.
